Before you are getting a bull terrier puppy, you must be sure the bull terrier as a breed is something for you. Raising a bull terrier puppy will reqiure both time and ton of patience. If you are unsure you have the time needed to raise the pup and give both time and love, you should not get a puppy. Also, you need not to only think of the price of the puppy, but the cost of both insurance, food, veterinary costs and such. If you still want a puppy after considering all of this, then there is the time to find the breeder for you.
If you are lucky you will be able to pick out your own puppy, far from all breeders will let you pick your own puppy. There are several reasons for that, one being that the breeder may have specific plans for that particular litter. The breeder may plan to keep one or more puppies from the litter, and may want a very promising puppy go to a potensial show home. That said, most puppies bred is for pethomes, and no serious breeder will give a pup to a showhome which does not provide a good home in general! In some cases there may be others on the puppy waiting list which has been waiting longer than you to get a puppy from that particular breeder.
When you do get a yes from a breeder, you need to know what sex and color puppy you would like, and if you are lucky there may be one availible in that litter for you. If not you may need to wait for a future litter. It is not uncommon to wait for a year or more if you want a specific sex and color from a spesific breeder! In some cases you may even wait longer!
If sex and color is not so important for you, you will find it easier to find a puppy. But if you are buying a puppy for the first time, we recomend that you listen to the breeders advice about the availible puppies. Yes they do have the same parents, but as siblings they tend to be having different personalities!
DO EXPECT a lot of questions, no serious breeder will just let you buy a puppy without knowing what kind of home you can offer. DO NOT expect to get pictures and price on your first mail. " We are this old and whant a puppy. What is the price and what is availible" Inquieries of this type will usually not be answered by breeders.
